Michelle Vick grew up in Dallas, TX, and now lives in Santa Monica with her husband, 2 daughters, and 2 rescue mutts. Helping new parents is her passion, so she co-founded The Baby Box Co. to bring the Finnish concept of Baby Boxes — new parent starter kits and safe sleep spaces in one — to the rest of the world. Her wildest fantasies involve reading extremely long books and sleeping past 7am.

What is the most important “job” in your life right now?

Raising my two baby girls will always be my most important job, but helping new parents via my company The Baby Box Co. is a close second!

Is there a hidden talent you wish you had?

Being able to function on 3 hours of sleep.

What is your key to feeling beautiful no matter how busy you are?

It’s hard to make the time, but I really try to get manicures, facials, and waxing once a month. In the morning, if I can take 5 minutes to throw on some foundation, blush, lip gloss, and mascara, it really helps me to go from swamp creature to human being.

Who is the best mani buddy you like to bring to Bellacures?

My daughter Sawyer, who is obsessed with getting her nails done as long as sparkles are somehow involved.

Who is your beauty crush?

Brigitte Bardot, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Mila Kunis… I have a lot of crushes I guess.

What is your ideal Saturday like?

Assuming my husband could watch the kids, I would start my day with either a yoga class at Equinox or a hike in Temescal Canyon, followed by family brunch at Gjelina. Then I would grab a green juice from Pressed and take my daughters to a playdate at Tongva Park or Glen Alla Park, which are two of their favorite places to play. Dinner would be at Cafe Gratitude or — if it’s just me and my husband — at Scopa or Hinterland. We live on the border of Venice and Santa Monica and only rarely venture elsewhere!

What is your favorite type of pie?

I’m from Texas originally, so I’ll have to go with pecan pie. Always a la mode!

Best name for a pet?

Noodle the Poodle, my childhood dog.

Favorite SNL skit of all time?

That would be pretty difficult to choose, but as long as Kristen Wiig or Tina Fey is involved, I’m happy.

What charity(ies) is closest to your heart?

As a mom, I am deeply moved by what is being accomplished by St. Jude’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
